I so appreciate having been selected for the 25-26 UCLA Faculty Research Lecture. The university’s senate chooses two scholars a year, one from the sciences and the other from the arts and humanities, and describes the recipients of this award as “exemplary of UCLA’s commitment to research excellence.”
